DIN 84 M5 × 8 is a cheese head screw with a 8 mm nominal length, on a M5 × 0.8 mm metric thread. A cylindrical head with a straight slot drive. Still common in instrument and electrical work, though pozidriv and hexalobular drives have largely replaced it in volume assembly.
